La. 73 closes between Mackay Road, Manchac Landing Court for bridge inspection

PRAIRIEVILLE — In Ascension Parish, La. 73 will be closed between Mackay Road and Manchac Landing Court on Wednesday.
The road's north and southbound lanes will both be fully closed between 9 a.m. and noon. The closure is to allow for a scheduled bridge inspection.
"Motorists are encouraged to plan, expect delays, and use an alternate route if possible," state transportation officials said.

LSP: Suspect who was shot by Livingston deputy after stealing taser dies

INDEPENDENCE — A 50-year-old man died Monday after being shot by a Livingston Parish Sheriff's deputy along I-55 southbound in Tangipahoa Parish. Louisiana State Police say the suspect stole a taser from the deputy and fired it at him.

TEAM 2 TRAFFIC: Two lanes reopen on I-10 East at Mississippi River Bridge after crash

BATON ROUGE — Two right lanes on I-10 east were blocked on the Mississippi River Bridge due to a crash Tuesday morning.
The blockage, which was first reported at 5 a.m., was at the La. 30/Nicholson Drive exit near LSU.
By 6 a.m., the crash had been cleared and the roadway reopened.

TEAM 2 TRAFFIC: Stalled semi on I-10 eastbound at Perkins Road causes delays to Mississippi River Bridge

BATON ROUGE - A stalled semi-truck caused delays by blocking the right lane of I-10 eastbound at Perkins Road on Thursday.
The lane blockage was first reported around 6:12 a.m. By 8:15 a.m., the road blockage was cleared.
Traffic along I-10 eastbound was delayed to the Mississippi River Bridge, where another stalled vehicle reported at 6:47 a.m. was causing additional delays on I-10 westbound. This blockage has since been cleared.
