PORT ALLEN — One person was injured after a multi-vehicle crash left all lanes of I-10 Eastbound closed on Saturday morning near the South Lobdell exit. 

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m., involving two 18-wheelers.

Officials with the West Baton Rouge Fire Department said that one of the drivers was trapped for an extended period of time as heavy wreckers were called to help gain access. 

The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Louisiana State Police is leading the investigation. 

Traffic is currently being diverted to exit 151 while crews work to remove the vehicles from the roadway.

Drivers in the area should expect delays or seek an alternate route.
