BATON ROUGE - This weekend, Companion Animal Alliance and Trading Post Tattoo are hosting the first-ever "Tattoos for Tails" event, raising money and supporting adoption efforts.

The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. on July 26 at 711 Jefferson Highway #6 in Baton Rouge.

Attendees can choose from flash designs created by artists from Trading Post Tattoo. Adoptable animals will also be on site during the event.

"It's a benefit that everyone can get behind," co-owner of Trading Post Tattoo Chris Handford said. "It's a good time for us to give something back."

Flash designs range from $100 to $150 depending on size and placement. All of the proceeds from tattoos completed during the event will benefit Companion Animal Alliance.
