BATON ROUGE — The Tunnel to Towers 5K Run and Walk is coming to Baton Rouge's Robert A. Bogan Fire Museum along Laurel Street.

The event is set for Saturday, Oct. 17. It honors the legacy of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller.

Stephen Siller strapped on 60 pounds of gear and ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel toward the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001, making the ultimate sacrifice to save others.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation provides homes with no mortgage to catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, Gold Star families and families of fallen heroes.
