NEW YORK — On Tuesday, Lamar Advertising Company CEO Sean Reilly rang the opening bell of the Nasdaq stock market index in Times Square in Manhattan. 

Ceremonies marking the opening and closing of the Nasdaq markets happen daily at the Nasdaq MarketSite Studio. 

Lamar, a Baton Rouge-based company, is one of the largest outdoor advertizing companies in North America. Tuesday's market opening ceremony also celebrated Lamar's 30th anniversary as a publicly traded company.
