Commercial vehicle fire on I-10 westbound near Whiskey Bay causes road blockage
WHISKEY BAY — A vehicle fire west of the Ramah exit of I-10 westbound caused traffic blockages near Whiskey Bay on Friday.
The vehicle fire was first reported around 5:36 a.m. By 6:40 a.m., the road closure was reduced to one lane.
Around 8:20 a.m., the interstate was closed again as crews worked to remove the vehicle following the fire.
According to Louisiana State Police, a commercial vehicle caught fire, causing the road closure.
