BATON ROUGE - The city started to consolidate locations where people can get information on debris removal.

Seven-hundred homeowners have applied for the private property debris removal program, which allows crews to enter private residential property for flood-related debris removal purposes, provided the debris is placed within approximately 30 feet from the public right-of-way. Homeowners must sign paperwork clearing contractors can enter private property. It is a typical process of any post-disaster cleanup process.

Previously, there were eight centers established where people could file the paperwork. As of Tuesday, three remained open:

Cypress Building, 10201 Celtic Drive, Suite B

Monday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Jones Creek Branch Library, 6222 Jones Creek Road

Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Fairwood Branch Library, 12910 Old Hammond Highway

Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
