EBR consolidates locations to sign waivers for debris removal that's not on the curb
BATON ROUGE - The city started to consolidate locations where people can get information on debris removal.
Seven-hundred homeowners have applied for the private property debris removal program, which allows crews to enter private residential property for flood-related debris removal purposes, provided the debris is placed within approximately 30 feet from the public right-of-way. Homeowners must sign paperwork clearing contractors can enter private property. It is a typical process of any post-disaster cleanup process.
Previously, there were eight centers established where people could file the paperwork. As of Tuesday, three remained open:
Cypress Building, 10201 Celtic Drive, Suite B
Monday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Jones Creek Branch Library, 6222 Jones Creek Road
Monday – Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Applications for debris removal are being accepted through Friday, October 7.
