GONZALES — More than 1,000 people are without power in Gonzales on Thursday after a vehicle struck a utility pole early in the morning.

The crash happened along Airline Highway near La. 30 around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Entergy outage data shows. 

The outage is affecting areas along Airline, with several traffic lights and residential areas also without power. Lights at the following intersections are being affected: 

La. 30 and Airline Highway
Robby Road and Airline Highway
Weber City Road (La. 429) and La. 22

Entergy estimates power will be restored around 8 a.m.
