Patrick Peterson named LSU's 2026 SEC Football Legend
BATON ROUGE - The Southeastern Conference named former LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson, who played three years for the Tigers from 2008 to 2010, as LSU's representative in the 2026 SEC Football Legends Class.
Peterson had a star-studded career during his time in Baton Rouge, and his 2010 season was filled with accolades. He won the Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back and the Bednarik Award as the nation's top defender. He was also named a First-Team All-American, and ended up being selected in the first round of the NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals in 2011.

Also in the class representing the University of Alabama is legendary former Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. Saban also coached at LSU from 2000 to 2004, and led the Tigers to the 2003 national championship.
