ST. GABRIEL — Iberville Parish officials warned residents on Friday that Manchac Road will be closed to through traffic next week, on Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 16. 

The road will be closed between Bayou Paul Road and the Iberville floodgates so that crews may install a large culvert. 

Motorists should plan accordingly and use an alternate route during this time.

"We appreciate your patience as crews complete this important drainage work," a prepared statement read.
