Status of Mississippi State quarterback up in the air ahead of LSU game
BATON ROUGE - The playing status of Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor is up in the air ahead of the Bulldogs road game in Baton Rouge on Saturday against LSU after reports surfaced online that the sophomore quarterback is dealing with a foot injury from earlier this month.
Sources: Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor’s status for the game at LSU on Saturday is in flux. A decision on whether he’ll play will be made later in the week. He’s dealing with a foot injury from earlier this year that clearly impacted him against Alabama on Oct. 3. https://t.co/NCGyCOJ4y6

ESPN reporter Pete Thamel tweeted on Monday evening that there were concerns with Taylor's availability as the Bulldogs did not play last weekend.
Taylor reportedly injured his foot in their game against Alabama and Bulldog head coach Jeff Lebby was non-committal in his press conference ahead of the game as to the status of his signal caller.
"Right now, the focus is getting (Taylor) ready to play and then having the ability to continue to create the depth in the room," Lebby said. "Billy (Puckett) and AJ (Swann) obviously are the two guys that have been competing since Day 1 in fall camp and really last spring. So, those guys obviously have the ability to get work if (Taylor) wasn't ready to roll."
