Subject of documentary who was arrested for rape in Livingston Parish has bond set to $850,000
LIVINGSTON — The subject of a documentary who was arrested for rape had his bond set to $850,000, jail records show.
Last week, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office received allegations of sexual abuse involving Ricky Foster. A documentary, "The Devil Wears Dunks," which has garnered millions of views online, brought new details to light that led to Foster’s arrest.
The YouTube documentary series helped launch an LPSO investigation into the allegations, which were more than fraud, Sheriff Jason Ard said.
Sheriff Ard said deputies spoke with a woman who was dating Foster in 2023. She said on numerous occasions over the nine-month relationship, she was forced to have sex with him. The victim also said Foster racked up more than $70,000 in credit card debt in her name without her knowledge. The victim said she was told that if she did not submit to various sexual acts, Foster would not repay the money.
"He had her in a state of mind that she was trapped, that there was nowhere she could go," Ard said.
Foster, 46, is accused of 10 counts of third-degree rape, 10 counts of extortion and four counts of sexual battery.
