The first full week of September will offer up a very typical summer recipe. That means expect more hot temperatures in the 90s, high humidity, and pop-up storms. 

Labor Day: The few showers and storms that we did see Sunday will fizzle out overnight. Lows will reach into the mid-70s. Labor Day is shaping up to be a hot one, with highs reaching the mid-90s. Unfortunately, heat alerts are back! A Heat Advisory has been issued from 11AM - 7PM. Heat index values will approach 110°. Make sure to drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks if doing strenuous activities outdoors. Pop-up storms will cool off some locations but not everyone will see rain, as coverage will be scattered in nature. 

Up Next: Expect typical summer weather to stick around for the remainder of the week across the area. Showers and thunderstorms will be a daily staple alongside consistent afternoon highs in the 90s. While rain coverage will fluctuate day-to-day, a washout is not expected. The extended forecast shows highs in the 90s holding firm with zero signs of relief coming anytime soon.
