PORT ALLEN — WBRZ is heading across the Mississippi for the 2026 Oldies But Goodies Festival as we go 2 Your Town in Port Allen!

We're dedicating ourselves to highlighting the towns you call home. We're shining a spotlight on local schools, one-of-a-kind businesses, and the amazing people who make South Louisiana such a vibrant place to live, work, eat and play.

Anchors and reporters spent Friday hearing from community members and public officials from across the Port Allen community as the town came together to celebrate the festival.

The festival itself celebrates classic music, vintage style and the charm of the good ole’ days.

Just minutes from Baton Rouge, the festival packs the weekend with classic cars, live music, barbecue competitions, and nostalgic events that showcase Port Allen’s personality. It kicks off Saturday with the BCA Championship BBQ Cook-Off and continues on Sunday with the antique car show and vendors, plus live music from That 70's Band from noon to 4 p.m.

To celebrate, WBRZ reporters have been shining a spotlight on the Port Allen community, capturing the town’s history, character, and the folks who keep it moving forward.
