Capitol region celebrates 225 Day with week, weekend of festivities

BATON ROUGE - It's time for all things Baton Rouge, from the food to the culture and economic opportunities!

Feb. 25 — 225 Day — is here, and there is no shortage of celebrations happening in the Capital region.

On Wednesday evening, the 225 Day Celebration will be held at Red Stick Social off Government Street from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Then, on Saturday, is the 225 Fest downtown at Galvez Plaza from noon to 6 p.m.

This year's theme for the festivities is "You Belong in BTR" with local food, art and business showcases.
