Baton Rouge Monster Mash brings safe Halloween fun to local children
BATON ROUGE — Residents in Baton Rouge got into the spooky spirit on Saturday at the second annual Monster Mash Halloween Celebration at the Jewel J. Newman Community Center on Saturday.
The free family-friendly event brought together families for an afternoon filled with Halloween excitement, candy, games and entertainment.
"Growing up in North Baton Rouge, I know how important it is for our children to have safe, positive spaces where they can simply enjoy being kids," said Councilman Anthony B. Kenney, Jr. "Our Monster Mash celebration is about bringing families together, creating lasting memories, and making sure our young people have opportunities to experience the joy of Halloween right here in their own community."
