Cheba Hut opens second Baton Rouge location along Village Market Street
BATON ROUGE — Cheba Hut opened a new location on Friday along Village Market Street, making it the restaurant's second Baton Rouge location.
As part of the opening ceremonies, the restaurant hosted multiple giveaways, including mural posters, custom T-shirts and a year of free food for the 420th customer.
The restaurant is located inside Long Farm Village, a 237-acre mixed-use community, and hopes to become a neighborhood hangout where people can grab a sandwich while meeting up with friends.

"Our Ben Hur location will always be special, and we would not change a thing about it," said Meredith Beck-Wiggins, co-franchise owner. "Long Farm is its sister — same DNA, but a personality all its own. Same humor, same come-as-you-are welcome. We've lived in this area since 2009, so this one feels less like a business decision and more like a housewarming."
Cheba Hut serves more than 30 signature toasted subs and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
