City of St. George receives award for annual budget
ST. GEORGE — The City of St. George has received the Government Finance Officers Association’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its annual budget, the city announced on Tuesday.
The award recognizes the city’s work to manage taxpayer money efficiently and present its budget as a clear, useful resource for residents, elected officials and staff.
GFOA’s review evaluates how effectively a budget serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide and communications tool. The award will be formally presented during Tuesday's City Council meeting at City Hall.
