DENHAM SPRINGS — Ward Two Water District customers in the Magnolia Estates neighborhood of Denham Springs have been placed under a water boil advisory as crews work to repair a water main east of La. 16.

The notice was issued Wednesday after repairs began on the water main at the intersection of Violet Street and Highland Drive. While the repairs are being made, the water pressure will drop below the Louisiana Department of Health minimum standard, requiring water to be boiled to kill possible contaminants. 

This advisory is limited to customers on the following streets: Violet Street, Violet Circle North, Susie Circle North, Highland Drive, Bellmont Street, Camelia Street, Azalea Street, Rosewood Avenue, Shumac Street, Thistle Street and Buttercup Street.
