New Mexico man sentenced to 35 years after pleading guilty to sex crimes in Livingston Parish
LIVINGSTON — A New Mexico man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to sex crimes against juveniles in Livingston Parish.
According to 21st JDC District Attorney Scott Perrilloux, 40-year-old Kyle Hatch pleaded guilty to charges of production of child sex abuse material and computer-aided solicitation of a juvenile under the age of 13.
Hatch will also be required to register as a sex offender for life. Because the charges involve sex offenses, Hatch will serve the full sentence, Perrilloux said. The plea also guarantees Hatch will remain incarcerated until 2060, sparing the juvenile victim and the child's family from a trial in open court, the DA's office said.
Hatch was initially arrested in February 2025 following a Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office-led investigation into online abuse. Following his arrest, he was extradited to Livingston Parish.
