NEW ROADS — The Greater Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce celebrated more than 30 businesses at the Scott Civic Center.

The annual event, called "Off to the Races," had a derby theme. Guests enjoyed food, live music, games and a raffle.

The chamber recognized multiple people and gave out awards. All proceeds benefit the programs that support local businesses.

WBRZ's Chairman of the Board Richard Manship and his wife Claire were among those celebrated.
