Paws for Pickleball brings local businesses and animal lovers to Baton Rouge courts
BATON ROUGE — Companion Animal Alliance invited the community to take to the courts on Saturday for Paws for Pickleball, the organization's first charity pickleball tournament.
The tournament, held in partnership with Electric Pickle and Red Stick Social, brought together pickleball enthusiasts, animal lovers and local businesses for a morning of friendly competition and dogs.
Participants competed in the charity tournament while guests had the opportunity to meet adoptable dogs and learn more about CAA's programs and services.

"Paws for Pickleball is an exciting opportunity to bring together local businesses, pickleball enthusiasts, and animal lovers for a morning that's both fun and meaningful," said Christina Obidah, Marketing & Communications Manager at Companion Animal Alliance. "As CAA's first-ever pickleball tournament, we're excited to introduce a new way for our community to support the animals in our care while building partnerships that strengthen Baton Rouge as a whole."
The winners of the tournament received prizes including tickets to Cap City Beer Fest.
