Rock the Country announces 2026 lineup, will not include stop in Louisiana for first time
BATON ROUGE — The Rock the Country Festival announced its lineup on Monday, with the festival visiting eight different cities; however, Louisiana will not be included for the first time since the nationwide tour began.
The festival had previously stopped in Louisiana for three consecutive years, with shows taking place in Gonzales in 2023 and 2024 and in Livingston in 2025.
"It was a great venue for Livingston Parish because it put us on the map. There were some top country singers who came here. and people from outside our parish and outside of our state had the opportunity to visit us," Livingston Parish President Randy Delatte said.
The weekend before Rock the Country 2025, the city of Livingston reported a combined total of around 12,000 visitors.
The Friday and Saturday of Rock the Country saw that number jump by almost 40,000, with 13% of that coming from out of the state.
According to Livingston Parish, the event sold a total of 25,000 tickets, with people as far as New York coming in for the fest.
"It's not anything done by the parish, or by the promoters. We reached out to the people who owned the venue, the Livingston Parish Fairgrounds. One of the board members told us they only signed a one-year contract, so there were no contract issues," Delatte said.

People who live in one of the neighborhoods right next to the Fairgrounds supported the events.
"We did enjoy getting together as a neighborhood and community, and it was exciting, and I enjoyed that aspect of it. I would love to see some other events come to the fairgrounds," Livingston resident Meagan Cotten said.
However, they also say they won't miss the traffic the event brought.
"It was a bit of a mess last year. It seems like there wasn't really a whole lot of detailed planning on where people could park," Livingston resident Chris Green said.
This year, the tour will stop in Texas, Georgia, South Dakota, Kentucky, South Carolina, Michigan, Florida, and New York.
The festival's lineup includes acts like Kid Rock, Jelly Roll, Creed, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Ludacris and Nelly.
