BATON ROUGE — Baton Rouge Police arrested a second suspect accused of robbing and killing an alleged drug dealer in May.

On Tuesday, police arrested Jacody Houston, 21, on charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and illegal use of a weapon in the killing of 20-year-old Johnathan Chambers. 

According to arrest documents, Chambers and a woman went to Hollywood Street around 8:30 p.m. on May 24 to sell drugs to Houston and 18-year-old Ladarius Lee, who was arrested in June. 

Arrest records show that during the drug sale, Lee called over several more people, including Houston, who began firing at Chambers' vehicle. Lee allegedly told police that he and the other suspects fled the scene in an SUV. 

Police found Chambers and the woman with gunshot wounds at the intersection of Beech Street and Douglas Avenue. They were both taken to a hospital, where Chambers died of his injuries.

Houston and Lee were both booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
