Southern University's Men's Foundation hosts breast cancer awareness edition of 100 Men in Suits series
BATON ROUGE — Southern University's Men's Foundation hosted a breast cancer awareness edition of its 100 Men in Suits series on Wednesday.
The event, organized in cooperation with Southern University's fraternities, brought men from across the campus community together to highlight the importance of Black men standing together, supporting their communities and raising awareness about breast cancer and its impact on families.
Organizers added that the Men's Federation wanted to use the event to show that awareness and advocacy are responsibilities shared by the entire community, including men who serve as sons, fathers, brothers, friends and supporters of those impacted by breast cancer, especially during October—Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
