NORCO, La. - St. Charles Parish issued a statement Wednesday saying it is aware of an "incident" at the Valero St. Charles Refinery.

Officials said Prospect Avenue remains closed between River Road and Airline Highway at this time.

"We are in communication with facility personnel," the statement said. "There are no off-site impacts to residents."

WBRZ reached out to the parish Emergency Operations Center, who said more information will be available at a later time. No other information was immediately available.
