BATON ROUGE — The Salvation Army of Greater Baton Rouge opened registration for the 2026 Angel Tree program on Tuesday. 

Families in need of assistance can register at The Salvation Army at 4025 W. Brookstown Drive on Sept. 28, 29 and 30, and Oct. 1 and 2. The location is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and closed for 30 minutes for lunch each day.

Registration is available for children 12 and under. Parents and guardians are advised to bring a photo ID, proof of residence, birth certificate of the child, clothing and shoe size and a toy wish.

Through the Senior Christmas Blessing, The Salvation Army will also provide food gift cards to seniors in need. Church partners are asked to help identify seniors.

The Salvation Army is also asking churches in Pointe Coupee, Iberville, St. Helena and Livingston parishes to join the Hope for the Holidays: Christmas Toy Workshop and Senior Assistance to help families living outside of Baton Rouge city limits get assistance. The program involves helping set up a toy workshop, volunteering at distribution and gathering toys or financially contributing to gathering toys.

Eligible parents and guardians will be able to visit the workshop and personally select toys for their children based on their ages, interests and needs.
