Photo of Jesus survives St. Helena Parish fire

AMITE - Firefighters witnessed "something special" early Wednesday morning: a portrait of Jesus that was intact following a fire.

The Hillsdale Volunteer Fire Department posted an image of the photo.

"The fire melted and burned most things but left one picture unaffected," the fire department said.

The fire happened around 12:30 a.m. and was assisted by Dist. 1, Dist. 2 and Dist. 4.

No information about what started the fire was released.
