BATON ROUGE - A 26-year-old LSU student was arrested for allegedly buying alcohol for two underage students and raping them at his on-campus apartment early Saturday.

According to an arrest warrant, Ty'Juan Bovie, of Reserve, went to the Circle K on Highland Road to buy alcohol for the female and male victims.

The document says that after he bought the alcohol, the three went to Bovie's apartment at East Campus Apartments to drink. The female victim said they were drinking in the apartment's living room from shortly before 11 p.m. to around 1 a.m., when her friend passed out on the floor and threw up.

It was noted that at that time, the female was heavily intoxicated. She said she had a hard time walking.

She told officers that Bovie brought her to his room and raped her. The document says Bovie threw the victim onto the bed and she hit her head during the assault. She said she tried to push him away during the encounter, which lasted for 15 minutes.

The warrant said after assaulting the female, Bovie went into the living room and raped her friend. The female said she recorded part of it on her phone and turned the footage over to the police.

The pair left, went to the female victim's home and then went to hospitals, where they told LSU Police Department officers what had happened during the night.

LSUPD says officers questioned Bovie, who allegedly told officers that neither the female nor the male had verbally consented to sex.

Bovie was booked for two counts each of third-degree rape and unlawful purchase of alcoholic beverages by persons on behalf of persons under 21.
