HAMMOND - A Hammond store hit by a car Saturday morning was open for business Sunday. 

Pennington's Hardware and Screenprinting shared photos of the aftermath of the wreck, showing a large hole in the store's side, broken building material scattered on the floor and damaged store shelves. 

The owners said that the crash happened when the store was closed, so no employees or customers were in the building. After the wreck, the community came together to get the shop open for business Sunday. 

"If you know us then you know nothing keeps us closed. With the help of our incredible employees, friends, and family we worked all day to get the store back in order while still helping our customers," the post said. 

Hammond Police investigated the crash. Store owners said an arrest was made. WBRZ has reached out to the police department for more information.
