BATON ROUGE — Local psychologists, social workers and religious leaders gathered in Baton Rouge on Monday for a recovery workshop in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Great Flood of 2016. 

The workshop, led in part by Dr. Judy Kuriansky, a world-famous disaster psychologist, saw leaders discuss the emotional suffering that many are re-experiencing on the 10th anniversary.

The event helped to ease unresolved, sad and anxious memories connected to the 2016 flood.
