CENTRAL —The eastbound left-turn lane at the intersection of Sullivan Road and Hooper Road will close on Monday for roadwork, officials announced. 

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said the closure will begin Monday, Aug. 31, at 6 a.m. and will end on Saturday, Sept. 5, at 4 p.m.

Officials said the closure is necessary to install a raised median, and closures are subject to change due to weather conditions. DOTD reminds motorists to drive with caution through work zones.
