BAYOU VISTA — State wildlife officials said Thursday that five people were hurt when two jet-skis collided on Bayou Teche, according to a broadcast report.

One of the watercraft had three people aboard while the other had two, the state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said. All five were in the water when first responders arrived.

Radio station KQKI reported that the five sustained injuries ranging from serious to critical in the Wednesday night crash.
