AMITE — The West Mulberry Street Extension opened Thursday morning in Amite. 

Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller led a ribbon-cutting on the community project, which he said represents a continued investment in the community that will "help move Amite forward."

"We are grateful to everyone who played a role in bringing this project to completion and to all those who continue working to make our community a better place to live, work, and do business," officials said in a statement.
