BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge murder suspect arrested in Memphis, Tennessee, after a woman's dead body was discovered in the passenger seat of a vehicle was extradited back to Baton Rouge, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Tyronne Brazille, 50, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon on Friday.

Officials said officers with the Memphis Police Department discovered Lanessa Bradford, 50, dead in the passenger seat while conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle. Officers said that Bradford had suffered a gunshot wound. 

Detectives later learned that Bradford and the driver of the vehicle, Brazille, were previously together at Independence Community Park on Independence Boulevard in Baton Rouge.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Brazille allegedly shot Bradford following a verbal disagreement and fled the area, driving through several states before being stopped in Memphis for a traffic violation.
