LIVINGSTON — The Livingston Parish Library Board has appointed Scott Kleinpeter as the library's new director.

The decision to make the former interim director the full-time head of the library system was made during the board's Tuesday meeting. Kleinpeter has served as interim since March and has worked as manager of both the main and Denham Springs branches. 

The director position has been held by several people over the last three years, with the most recent director—Na'Chel Shannon—resigning in March after holding the position for two months.
